Protective Security Industry Association (PSIA) Meeting
CEO of Private Security Regulations Authority, Mr Mohamed Fazul during a function for Protective Security Industry Association (PSIA) members to discuss amongst other things the implementation of the Private Security Regulatory Act of 2016. He reaffirmed his commitment to guide security companies to conform with the act but also insisted on compliance once it comes into effect. He said the authority is drafting some bills with an aim to repeal some sections of the constitution to enable see private security companies comply with the act. Some of the effects of the drafted bills will issuance of guns to security companies and VIP protection of some entities. At the meeting, Vickers was represented by the Director of Operations and staff representing the accounts and operations department.
